Hello!
My name is Ally Bishop and I host the Harrisburg Writer's Block and Writer's Workshop. We are having a special speaker this month at our event on August 23rd at 3pm at the Mechanicsburg Mystery Book Shop, and I would love to get the word out where writers may see it.
About our speaker: Rick Fellinger is a Wilkes University student completing his MFA in fiction. He mentored under Kaylie Jones, author of The Lies My Mother Never Told Me, A Soldier's Daughter Never Cries, and many other titles. Rick is published in many magazines and journals and recently won the Wilkes University scholarship. He is a free-lance journalist and teaches writing at Elizabethtown University.
About Writer's Block and Writer's Workshop: We are a non-profit group which has been existence for almost two years. We hold regular meetings, have regular members, and have developed a reputation for offering writers sorely needed critique and the opportunity to socialize with other writers. (Writers tend to be lonely!) The workshop attracts local authors and writers who excel in the field to teach craft and assist new and developing writers in building their skill.
