My band, After Party, is on tour and we're stopping in Carlise for the GM show. We don't have anything booked for that Friday and would like to play somewhere if anything is still available. If ya'll have any suggestions, it'd be appreciated. It's not that easy to search for venues in the Harrisburg area and I don't know any bookers that cover central PA. We're coming from Houston in an old El Camino and are entered in the GM show, so it should be a fun weekend. Also, the track online isn't really what it's going to sound like. I'll have something more indicative of the final sound up early next week. Got a MySpace page and you can contact me directly at the following email: www.myspace.com/afterpartyhoustonafterpartyhouston (at) gmail (dot) com Thanks and ya'll have a good week. Kirston

first influence listed is "Butthole Surfers"
You my friend are a fucking genius!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are very few places in Carlisle.... to be honest the welcome wouldn't be that receptive either.... they like country music and garbage that is played on classic rock stations....
playing the BHS might get you killed......

Coincidentally enough, Ralf opened for them back in the early 80's when he was in Culturcide and Really Red. The Texas underground scene was pretty close-knit back then.
Yeah I was pretty much expecting a town like that and is kind of why we wanted to find a place to play, but I don't want my car to get attacked either. Harrisburg is close enough that we could drive our there and then come back to Carlisle to crash. We're just going to consider it a night off, but if anyone can think of any places we'll play.
I was just looking at a map of Carlisle and the Army's war college is there? No way am I going to play in a small town with an Army base, I know how those crowds are.

There isn't really anything to fear there... The Army base doesn't even exist on the radar of club goers....
You know what band from Texas I loved... The Evil Mothers.... Those guys were fucking awesome!!!!!!

Just found out that Gibby will be in NYC when we're there and we might end up doing a few Butthole songs with him. Still ironing it out, but we're crashing his DJ set either way. The Big Boys! The Hickoids! Roky Erickson! The Winks! Roky Erickson is playing Houston on the 24th, we're going to be in Pittsburgh so I get to miss him yet again. And Gary Floyd is dying of cancer, so probably not going to see another Dicks show anytime soon. Sad times these are.
