Knotfal should be ASHAMED of themselves....
Current mood: disappointed

To all the friends and fans of Knotfal:
This blog is to let all of you know that from this point on, we will
NO LONGER support Knotfal as a band on this page or otherwise.
There are many reasons behind this, most of which have to do with
the way the existing members of the band chose to treat Roy
(their dedicated lead singer of 3 years) during his last days
with them, specifically during Roy's final performance with the band.
It is no secret that this band would not be HALF of what it is today
without all the dedication, blood, sweat and tears Roy Barrett put
into it. He was one of only 2 original members still present in the
band. Roy continuously made sacrifices to further this band, welcomed new members graciously over the years and treated the rest of the members with respect and kindness. Knotfal was HIS name and a composition of what he was about...hard work, respect and professionalism.
Sadly, it became apparent at last night's performance at West Shore
Hardware Bar that the rest of the band doesn't hold the same values
he does....which ironically was one of the main reasons Roy chose to
leave the band in the first place to pursue another project.
Instead of giving Roy the farewell he so rightfully deserved last
night, the other guys (with the exception of maybe one) made a complete
mockery of the Knotfal name and in all honesty, made complete asses of
themselves.
It will be surprising if they don't get fired from Hardware altogether
with last night's pitiful performance.
From the drummer playing at warp speed just to be a dick, to the lead
guitarist sporting a "fuck you all" attitude, Roy continued to try to
give the fans a great show and put 150% into that performance. Despite
the ignorance his band members displayed, Roy played out his last show
from his heart with dignity and respect for himself, the Knotfal name,
and the fans. Those guys owed Roy at least a dignified farewell show
and they couldn't even give him that.
If last night is any indication of what their new lead singer is in
for, (and he was there last night too) perhaps he should be reconsidering
if he really wants to work with a bunch of unprofessional jerks like them.
And it doesn't end there...when Roy brought up a lead singer from another
band to sing a song, the band continued to display their screwed up sense
of professionalism, while Drummer Dan sped up even faster (as if he
was trying to make the guy mess up) and then JOKED about it after
that set with his guitar player. Nice guys, really nice. That kind
of professionalism is going to get you really far in the music
industry...way beyond the Hardware Bar, I'm sure!
They need to remember that it was largely Roy's dedication from
the start, along with his persistence to succeed that got them
where they are today. Think twice about that Knotfal, before
you go ranting to everyone that "you fired him."
He could have stuck them without a lead singer at all for last
night's show after they so quickly decided to turn on him and
acted as though they "booted him out" of the group like he did something terrible to them or something. But as an act of professionalism, Roy didn't stick it to them last night and of course went out gracefully. Their pathetic attitudes and performance was their gratitude to him...isn't that just special.
Through all of this Roy has had nothing bad to say about any
of
them, even after they humiliated themselves last night at his
expense, yet they continue to act like childish idiots.
Grow up, guys....learn to have some respect and humility.
On that note, we would like to thank all the fans who came
out last night to support Roy in his last show.
Don't worry, you all have not seen the last of him!
He will be back and better than ever when his new project
hits the stage very soon! We will be following him into
this new project, converting this page to a new street team
for his new band and of course, we will let all of you know
when to expect to see his new band's debut!
Thank you again to all the dedicated friends and fans!
Knotfal would not be what they are without you guys, either!
Sincerely,
The Knotfal Street Team
