i finally finished mixing down four of the five tracks on our demo 'the best nineteen minutes of your life.' woot! actually, the title may change depending on the actual run time of the demo when i'm done with the last song. we may have a scheduling conflict with the drummer we have lined up. so if there are any drummers interested in and capable of this type of music, hit me up... we might need you. check out my guitar solos on 'better at guitar.' silliness. www.myspace.com/thebadmusicbandyeah, and it ended up sounding a lot less tmbg than expected!

Actually, the stuff is pretty good. I'm not certain where you came up with the TMBG meets GnR. After listening to it twice through, it reminded me more of like Tenacious D meets System Of A Down.
No offense to your mixing skills, but in the hands of someone like Jason Rubal or Marshall, it could sound pretty interesting. Either way, sounds pretty good.

i admit mixing is a maddening and ongoing process for me. i don't have studio monitors, so i have to get a good soundingFART mix in all my different headphones and my pa system, then burn a cd, run it out to my car and go for a drive. after i get everything sounding great, my friend shows up with his audiophile car stereo, and i realize how horrible the top end of the mix is! i have a very good ear, actually... just really really crappy equipment!
anyone interested in trading a samick 1-15" bass combo for monitors?

I have 40% hearing loss so I'd probably love it!
