Brian-
Don't take this the wrong way- what I'm about to say is merely another stab at the city-
There's no way 10K people attended this last year.
I heard the number was more like 1,000 and the street vendors were packing up halfway through the event.
When is Harrisburg going to let the professionals handle shit like this?

Contemporary Christian music... didn't someone along time ago say something about the separation of church and state?
What ever... I'm glad you guys are playing Brian
This Steven Courtney douche... however... is playing in Harristurd... then playing in Carlisle... and then playing in Harristurd again? that's fucked up... and he's playing at a church no less.....

you don't have to vote in a church... there are many places (that are still some how affiliated with J.F.C.)

I voted in Church's Chicken for my favorite side dish while they were playing contemporary music by a Christian over the sound system. Does that count?
I know what good is!

Just got back. Was there for an hour. Maybe 200 people tops. No one there worth giving an Ooba Gooba flyer to except for a couple cute girls who I'm sure threw it away. Zero hipsters were there. The food vendors were pretty lame too (no gyros/ falafel/ funnel cake/ kabobs/ fries). The most pathetic part was the lack of a crowd. I can't believe, with 50,000 people in the city itself living just a couple miles or less from dowtown, no one came. The band i saw didn't even have three friends in front of the stage. how is anybody supposed to get anything done when no one shows up? what a potentially great way to meet people, and everyone blew it.

Me and Sarah just got back too.
It sucked.
They should say "Harrisburg Street Fest- The "Q" is for "Quality""
Ugh.
Every vendor I spoke with (I knew most of them) all said virtually the same thing- "Dude, last year was pretty beat...but this is even worse"-
At the end of the area in front of Straw Square, I got half-excited when we saw those Chinese Dragon dancer things you see on the telley for the Chinese New Year- and totally lost my semi when the dance ended- and the people under the costumes- were friggin white people.
Ugh.
