I'm trying to find anywhere new to eat. I've done most of Hbg area. (I hate cooking) So lets hear your input, please? (will be trying west shore Chef Wongs today ...)

I have been very pleased with Nicks 114 for good easy bar food.
I have also been very happy with TJ Rockwells in Mechanicsburg (old Countryside).

I used to get Wong's a few times a week when I worked in Camp Hill...it's alright, but nothing to write home about. My pick for the best chinese on the west shore is the Evergreen. I think they've got the best sushi around too. I'm sure you've tried most of these places, but these are my top 5 picks for food in the Harrisburg area:
1. Passage to India- I'm usually there on Sunday afternoons for their lunch buffet
2. Evergreen- probably the best combination of value and quality....the sushi is always fresh, the mongolian bbq is pretty good, and the price is decent.
3. G-Man, downtown- I'm not much of a salad eater, but theyve got a pretty kickass chicken salad where they stick french fries in it, great with honey mustard dressing
4. Jade- my favorite chinese joint on the east shore. great place to pig out on crab legs for cheap.
5. Colonial Park Diner- man-sized portions! also a great dessert selection.
hope that helps!

For Thai you gotta go to Bangkok 56 on Paxton Street. It's a small place, but the Curry is killer!!! It's the best around, by far.
Neato Burrito. Yea, it's great. They only seem to hire dirty hippies (just kidding, pinko), but they make some great burritos. For real sushi and not the imitation crab crap the buffets try to serve you, check out Sapporo on Carlisle Pike! Small place, but the ambience is great and the sushi well prepared.
For great burgers try BeetleBop in Camp Hill. The best by far in this area. Oh I forgot, it closed down years ago. That totally blows because it was a great place for food. Major potential. Anyone know why it was shut down???
For taco, real tacos, there used to be a place right on Derry Street just over the bridge from Mulberry. I forget the name, but it looked like someones house and they just happened to make these incredible tacos. I think it was Mexico Lindo??? Been awhile, but they were SO good.
BTW, had lunch on Sunday at Duke's and while the food was good, the idiot girl who was our "greeter" left much to be desired. Didn't even look at us, never smiled, very unpleasant. I watched her seating other patrons. They'd ask her a question and she'd quickly answer without looking at the people and walk away immediately. What a moron. Everyone else was very cordial.

Good review of Duke's. Same thing happened to me with their Greeter. That Taco place sounds like a future stop. Thanks.
