I am so confused. Since stepping out of the business side of the bar biz, all this shiat has changed. Someone fill me on on the following:
1) Rain Night Club (formerly one of the levels of the York Hardware bar) is now in Harrisburg?
2) York hardware bar has moved across the street to where Bahama Mama's was? But vertigo is still across the street?
3) Tom Sawyer is now a Pan-Am resurant named Kanichiwa (which is Asian, which would be Shinto, but they have a Buddah statue out front)?
4) Gulliftys has new ownership?
WTF is going on?

Gullifty's is now owned by the Eisenhower's who have been running it for years. It had been owned by Dante's Inc.

Yeah, I saw them yesterday and got the scoop. Ahhh..I remember when it was Dante's..how sad is that hahaha.
So they went from 49% to 100% owners.
I also see now that Tom Sawyer/Kanichiwa is now a tex/mex grille. Nice 48 hour flip flop.

I ate at Tom Sawyers when it was in Allentown and I ate there here, why could they not just leave it alone!?!? With the spot closing they could have made that the place to go after all the clubs closed, now it will be the favor of the month (48 hour) spot!?

Kamionka suffers from ADD and therefore can't stick with an idea for more than a minute.
I remember when it was Dante's. Also remember driving in the snow to see the Pikers packing the house "back in the day" as that was really one of the few places to go for great live entertainment. That's great that it's now 100% family. Heard a nasty rumor a bit ago that Kamionka was trying for it......thank god it was just a rumor.

Kamionka suffers from ADD and therefore can't stick with an idea for more than a minute. Why does Ron always get talked about? I've know the guy for years and through the good and bad I have always admired his business abilities. I can tell you from personal experiences he will listen to any ideas. If it has potential he'll try it. Look at Small's. Or shall we forget about that because it doesn't fit within the Hardware Bar mold. Jamie had an idea, Ron liked it and a year later, it's still going. To be successful in the bar/club business you have to change. Also you want to be first with any new idea. Sure your ideas might not be the likings of a few, but if it's a hit with everyone else, then your bills will get paid and you won't be another "remember that place".

I have come to realize it is the people without ADD that have the real problems, they are un-motivated slugs!!

People with ADD aren't unmotivated....look at most of the amazing drummers you know,(not that ALL drummers are ADD but it certainly helps) They are just distracted and need a high energy something to focus on.
