Dear Sir:
Our group of 12 guests had had lunch at Duke's Riverside in Wormelysburg, Pa. on the 9th of March.
The food was delicious and presented nicely; however, the service was terrible. We waited one hour and half for the ordered entrees to be served. One of our group was diabetic and had to be given food within a certain period of time after insulin was administered. The whole experience was horrendous.
Please keep this in mind when recommending this restaurant in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Y'know, I'm just saying this as a devils advocate, but Dukes has a pretty good rep--and rightfully so, otherwise they wouldn't be there-
But don'tcha think that a restaurant can occasionally have an 'off' night? Just like any business that relies on the collaboration of a team--some nights just don't click-
Maybe a better approach would be sending the email or letter complaining and then waiting to see how the Management responds?
I'd say if the place reacts by offering a sincere apology and some way of making it up to the customer, wouldn't that make for a better read than something like "Food good, service BAD" for all to see?
Due process, no?

I'm confused because the email was sent to me. I guess we are to blame based on the review in the dining area of HBGOnline. Agreed food joints can have their off nights. Right Dan?

Tell me about it.
I can tell you the new places look pretty nice. My wifey got her job back at "Rock Bass" and the new menu looks pretty nice.
We will see.
I have never really been a fan of Dukes. Even when it was G-Man. It just did nothing for me.

They are giving people a service... if they fuck up... then their service (however described above that I didn't bother reading about) is fucked...
I had the opportunity to take my family... there were 10-12 of us to this new place on 22 in Grantville.... we ordered nothing shocking... even let her put it on one check...
My cousins BF got the wrong thing.... we got food then appetizers... then the bill... let's just say that 20 minutes of me standing there with a pen and highlighter still didn't help these morons.... I won't go there ever again....
I won't even get a to-go order... they are dead to me

The new place in Grantville is Villa Rosa, it is on the corner of Route 22 and Route 743. Went there for the first time tonight and WOW was the place busy. The food was excellent, service a slight bit slow, but nothing to get upset about. People being served at the tables next to me seemed very happy with their food, I heard many compliments to the chef. Definitely will go back again.

We wanted to have a celebration for our 8 year anniversary. My husband and I decided to go there at 5:30, an hour before anyone arrives to we have a table ready by then. I stated to the hostess that we had a party of 10 and she signed with annoyance. She stated there was already a party of 10 in front of us. I stated no problem, we will be outside having some drinks while we wait. After an hour later, I walk up to ask how much longer and she was surprised I was still there waiting for a table. She looked at her list and signed, I'm not sure, we will page you when its ready. Again, I stated that was fine, that we were still outside having drinks. I looked over after 2 hours later and saw a party of 12 got up from the table. I walked over to the hostess and told her but her statement to me was, we don't combine tables together. So we waited some more. After 3 hours later, they gave us 2 little round table and said, that is all they have, its a little cramped. I looked over and a party of twelve got seated after waiting for only 30 mins and had 4 tables. The reason I know this is because they were also sitting at the bar by us. I had to call the waiter each time to come over to get our drinks. It took him 1 hour to take our appetizer and another hour later to get our main order. After taking our main order, he stated the kitchen staff is very busy and that our food won't be out for a while. The nerve after we waited 4 hours so far. At 10:45 we finally got our meal but it was luke warm by then because it has been sitting under the heat lamp for about 10 mins. We had a veiw of the kitchen so we were all aware of this. Everyone in the party was so annoyed by then but no one wanted to complain because it was my husband and mine special day. At the end of the meal, the waiter stated there was an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill but we can give him more because he gave us such good service. I was fuming by then, but I smiled and thank the waiter and thank the hostess while I was walking out the door. Service is a big part that makes or breaks any restaurant owner. No matter how good the food is, if service is bad people won't go back.
