I can see the desire to limit copy-and-paste posts...but this is a politics message board...and we want to alert each other of current events and promote discussion, no?

seven new threads for copy-and-paste posts in one day might be a bit excessive...but one seems like maybe not enough.

also, what if it's a copy-and-paste in a pre-existing thread? does that count towards our "quota?"

perhaps we could use a "teaser" approach. post a paragraph or two from an article, and provide a link to the rest of it for those that may want to read further.

That's what I'm talking about. Use your best judgement. I've just been getting a few emails lately from the people that hit "Last 20 post" and see nothing but cut and paste type stuff.

At times you and seanx put up a shitload of them back to back. Just spread it out more, that's all I'm asking.
