Wanted: Lead/Rhythm Guitarist.
Tired of busting your hump for nothing? Then this opportunity maybe for you. Working cover band seeks guitar player who can fill a lead-rhythm guitarist position. We are not looking for a super shredder, we are looking for someone who can fill all guitar parts necessary being the only guitarist to be accompanied by a keyboardist. Super duper soloing speed and talent is cool but not the only skill needed for this. If you are able to accompany a skilled team of musicians, and you can typically mesh well, we want to talk to you.
We have an extensive Cover song list with Pop, Classic Rock, Rock, and Alternative Rock genres. We also require that you work hard in practicing / learning songs as well as being an entertainer on stage. I know that sounds like a lot to demand, but it really isn’t that hard to do if you want to do it!! If your lazy or don’t want to work, or think you know every song ever written and don’t feel you need to practice to come up to speed….. don’t reply. We are a TEAM that needs a 5th member. We are not babysitters. We are pros with pro gear and we expect the 5th member to be the same.
We also require the use of In Ear monitors. We do not bring speakers on stage. We do not require the use of floor wedges when we play. This allows for a truly professional feedback free show. This also allows you to turn up or down anything you want in your monitor mix. As loud or as soft as you want. So if you don’t already use them, you will need to make an investment. For example, our last guitarist used a Pod Pro XT in a rack, with a rack mount tuner. It worked perfectly and sounded great!! This really allows a sound guy to mix the FOH without having to worry about what’s going on up on stage. A truly professional FOH mix can be accomplished and absolutely can sound amazing!
If you don’t want to travel for practice or playing, please don’t respond. We are a working band that plays more than our local tavern. So travel will be required. Most work is in central to Southeastern PA. But we will be playing the occasional out of state shows, from New York, Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey, and Florida. We carpool every time we can so it really isn’t too bad. (Great pay usually makes up for the hassle!!)
A goal of working 8 to 12 times per month once our 5th team member is up to speed. We have a goal of playing out every Friday and Saturday night, and the occasional weeknight or Sunday night.
Original music is also a goal but not the priority. We have exceptional song writing ability when teamed with the right guitarist!
We are like family and we have a great time playing out and making money! Interested?? Respond ASAP because this position will go quickly. Give us a shout at regionalguitarist@yahoo.com . Questions? Please ask! We look forward to hearing from you!!
