Without getting into a long boring story, I'm looking forward to getting out and about again to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. WOW so much has happened to the local scene. Is there still a scene? Guess I'll have to bring the area back from the dead one more time, and then it'll be time to pass the torch. Any new bands out there catching the local media attention? If so, I want to see them, to see how bad they suck. And then I'll write about them and post it to the web. And then their girlfriends and relatives will say what an ass I am. They'll even send threatening emails saying how I ruined them. (although if they weren't tone deaf, they would have heard what I did) And then a year later they will just be a memory, like all the rest that followed before them. Seriously just wanted to give a shout out and say hi to everyone. Hope to have some changes completed by mid month. My email is back: jimo@hbgonline.com Lator Gators - BigJim

Welcome back.... Is there a scene?? Is there anyone relavant?!? Well Hierosonic is still around, and so are the Suicide Puppets, and 7th Layer, OF COURSE. However that is about what has transcended since you were gone. Aaron Miller is in another band that will be big for a few years, and then cease to be, the left over vudoo members are in a band now called the taken. They are not bad. Doug from the horror technics teamed up with JB from Ministry to form Pulled Under, hmmm... Other bands that matter..... hmmmm.... Mechanical Vamps are now Tramps on 9th, and Death Maschine is the shit....
Julian Fist, The C.C.L, Pariah Piranha, Knotfal, Kingsfoil, Artists Over Industry, Emily's Toybox, Negative Space, The Drama Club The Dead 50's, The Mint, Ninetail, Spinebelt, Scars of Hatred, Twelve After are all still kicking but shows are spaced out in between...

Havok did a Good job a few more things are... Underwater - Done (Matts in a new band, I've heard demo's and they are Amazing) Masquerade Done - Ducky's now in Digital Elvis (i think you figured that one out though) Aarons new band is called A Public Betrayal... Until we rise is done, manian and Torr formed Jet Black Heart but they are done too. Manian is already working on a new band though... few other bands of note are Sickleye / In Wilderness (featuring members of Dharma/and others), Red Room Still Plays a bit, Rhea Silvia came, went, came and went again, Drop of Grey is Back...

That was a much needed update!! I too have hopped out of the scene and now are getting back into it (it would seem).
The Thrives are still around... and I have found a love for Adamo Drive also. The Sketties are also very cool. Strange to try catagorize them, but if you're into strange surf, cowboy rock like me, they're definitely worth the listen. ^_^
