not that I think anyone on this board is, but those of you that don't like him just might like him a little less after reading this: Article published Jan 24, 2008 Huckabee alienates GOP in Arkansas January 24, 2008 By Stephen Dinan - LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Jake Files was a newly elected representative when all two dozen Arkansas House Republicans met for their first caucus in 1999. They had doubled their numbers in elections two months earlier, and were ready to join Republican Gov. Mike Huckabee in pushing for conservative government. That was when Brenda Turner, the governor's chief of staff, entered. "Just walked in, shut the door and said, 'There's two kinds of people in the world: those who are for Mike Huckabee and those who are against Mike Huckabee. I'll do everything I can to help the first group. I'll do everything I can to hurt the second,' " said Mr. Files, who left the legislature after two terms. And that's the way it was. "Not only would he not help you, he would go out of his way to do things in opposition to you," Mr. Files said. just what this country needs...you can read the rest of the article here: www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080124/NATION/8463148/1001

This guy does not impress me at all. I think it's a fluke he is were he is at this time. he hasn't really done much. won in iowa, which is a small state with few delegates to offer and is not particularly representative of the rest of the country. he's remained in the hunt, but isn't really at the top in my opinion. mccain and romney have pretty much alternated being 1-2 in the other elections. I have a half-baked theory that the media (which is largely liberal) is responsible. they gave this guy a push before the primaries started and america bought into the hype. if you can go along with this for a moment...if you're liberal, you obviously want this guy to win because he's a lamb to the slaughter up against clinton or obama. so when he makes ridiculous statements about amending the constitution to reflect god's law, you give him a pass because you know that if you give the guy enough rope, he's going to hang himself. from the article I posted, the guy sounds like a real cancer to the republican party...which would be even further reason to pull for a huckabee victory. I think america is catching on that this guy is bad news, and in the long run he won't win the nomination.

There is only one reason why Huckabee is even in the top (and the news)...........

I can not even look at McCain. His left cheek is puffier than the right one. Plus the whole deal with his ex-wife and Ross Perot pisses me off.

I'm voting for Huckabee out of the sheer fear of Chuck Norris.

I read his autobiography a few years ago and wow, what a freakin' story (covered mostly his Vietnam imprisonment.) I REALLY wanted to like him but man, WAY too Liberal on too many issues for me personally.
